A city hospital has begun testing a mobile app that lets outpatients book a time slot and receive a message when the doctor is ready to see them.
Staff said the pilot, which covers three clinics, has already reduced the time patients spend in crowded waiting rooms.
If the trial succeeds, the hospital plans to extend the app to all departments by the middle of next year.
